Youth Club Championships (YCC)

Every August, USA Ultimate runs a very competitive national Youth Club Championship tournament in Blaine, Minnesota. BUDA has sponsored a MA team for several years, and we hope to continue doing so.

In 2012 we plan to run competitive clinics to help our best talent play together in a structured environment for several weeks prior to this event.  Stay tuned in the Spring for information about those clinics.

2011
The boys are coached by Jason Chow and Dan Hourigan, finish 3rd, losing to Pittsburgh in the semi-finals. This also is the first year with an under 16 divison, but we don't send any teams in that division.

2010
Jason and Tiina Booth coach the boys and they finish 5th (of 10).  BUDA does not send a girls team.

2009
Tyler, Micah, and Jason Chow coach the boys.  We lose to Seattle in the finals (after beating them in pool play) and finish 2nd.  The girls are back with Beth and they finish 3rd.  Josh and the mixed team finish 2nd.

2008
Micah Flynn and Tyler Auer coach the boys.  We finish 3rd (losing to Seattle in the semis, who goes on to win the finals) and win the spirit award again with a perfect score.  BUDA does not send a girls team.  Josh coaches the mixed team and they finish 3rd.

2007
Micah Flynn and Tim Cobbett coach the boys team, we finish 2nd, losing in the finals to Seattle, we also win the spirit award with a perfect score.  The girls, coached by Beth Nakamura finish 3rd and also win the spirit award.  Josh Seamon coaches the mixed team and they finish 3rd as well.

2006
EMU again goes in the Mixed division and again ties for 3rd place.  They also won the spirit award.  The open team was run by Josh Seamon and had some younger ARHS kids and some eastern Mass players.  They finished 5th (of 8).  The girls finish 3rd (of 5).

2005
This was the first year the UPA ran YCCs. Tiina Booth takes Amherst High as the New England open team and loses in the finals to a Seattle combo team.  BUDA also sends a girls team that finishes 2nd, and a mixed team (EMU) that ties for 3rd place.
