After 20 years of running the league’s annual Good Cause charity tournament, he still brings excitement to this as well. There are unique rules to keep the game fun and a bit less competitive, a great tactic since the focus is on raising money not winning a trophy. And speaking of trophies, the winners of the tournament, which in this case ALL the participants are winners get some type of prize to take home. Everyone who plays seems to leave with a shirt, a disc or even one year a jar of homemade jam! It is a fun event for all and the benefits to the small local charities chosen are vastly appreciated.
As a reflection of his dedication, Conor is already planning a special 20th anniversary Good Cause for the summer of 2010.
As our 2008 recipient of BUDA’s Volunteer of the Year Award we want to recognize Conor for his contributions to the game and to the Boston Ultimate community overall. We thank you for your hard work and dedication and the excitement you continue to bring to every game.
