Tournament Format: This is a "hat" tournament. Players arrive by 9am (sharp), register, and are randomly placed on a balanced co-ed team for the day. Every team will play 4 consecutive games and end by 4:30pm, when prizes are then given out. The games are competitive, but the focus of the day is on raising funds and playing spirited Ultimate.
Special rules: As in past years, special rules will apply.  Among others
  • When a team is leading by more than 3 points, all players on that team must touch the disc on the possession before a point can be scored.  After a turnover, all players much touch the disc again
  • A huck for a score that covers more than half the length of the field is worth 2 points.
Spirit Awards: At the end of the day, each team will vote for one player as their spirit award winner.  The person who wins the award for each team will get a pair of Hydro Shorts, generously provided by 5 Ultimate.
Want to play with a friend? If each friend raises $150 or more, this request will be granted, otherwise it's random (sorry) (and yes, it is blackmail). Limited to groups of 3.
What to bring:
  • WATER (we will supply some water, but we have no water source at the fields)
  • A white shirt
  • A dark shirt
  • Food (no food will be provided at the fields)
  • Cleats
Post-Game: In keeping with long standing BUDA Good Cause tradition, merriment will continue at the Old Irish Ale House after games are done.
