League Description:

There are so many Frisbee options in Boston, and now we bring you one more: a women’s ultimate league for all experience levels. The league will run for 8 weeks (May 1st– June 19th) and will consist of two hour sessions with one hour of group skills clinics and then we’ll break into teams for a one hour game. For beginners, this will be a great league to learn to throw and learn the rules of the game in a relaxed and fun setting. Experienced players will appreciate coaching from some of Boston’s greatest and the rare opportunity to play 100% female ultimate.

Registration for the 2013 Women’s Ultimate Frisbee League (WUFL) will open April 14th and closes April 28th. BUDA must have a 2014 signed waiver for you to be able to play, although you can register before you send your waiver in. You can find the waiver on the BUDA website and check your waiver status on your player page. Registrations will be on a first come first serve basis. Last year registration filled up quickly so make sure to register early! Anyone who has completed registration but not paid by April 28th will not be put on a team. Registration fee includes shirt for your assigned team and a disc.

League Format:

The league will consist of 8 two hour sessions. The first hour of each session will have a skills session coached by a veteran ultimate players that will cover topics including proper throwing technique, basic rules of ultimate, and team strategies. During the second hour there will be competitive games played between assigned teams. Teams will be made in a hat league format: just sign up for the league as an individual and teams will be made as evenly as possible based on the BUDA site player evaluations.
